Julia Neuhaus

For as long as she can remember, Julia Neuhaus has had a desire to become a teacher. This goal stems from having had some inspiring teachers throughout her educational career. Initially, her interests focused on primary education; however, she recently has been drawn toward teaching at the high school or college level.

She attributes this change to a few caring, very capable instructors in the science departments at Central Oregon Community College and Oregon State University-Cascades Campus. Currently Julia is working toward a degree in biology, with an emphasis on chemistry. It is her long-term goal to earn a master’s degree in education in Central Oregon. Julia was recently chosen as one of COCC’s members of the 2013 All-Oregon Academic Team.
