High School Options
Central Oregon high school students have several options to get a jump start on college, earn needed high school credits or pursue their GED. Some courses are taught in area high schools, while others give students the opportunity to spend time on COCC's four campuses. All high school students are expected to review the "High School Student Information" sheet. These options include:
Concurrent Enrollment
Central Oregon high school students can take college classes through our concurrent enrollment program. For more information visit the Concurrent Enrollment web page.
College Now/Dual Credit
COCC works with area high schools to offer college level courses taught by high school instructors, exclusively for high school students. For more information visit the Dual Credit web page.
Expanded Options
Some Central Oregon high school students may be eligible to participate in the Expanded Options program. This program allows students to take college classes and the high school pays for associated tuition, fees and books. Advanced Diploma
The Advanced Diploma program is available at some Central Oregon high schools. This program allows students to take college clases and the high school pays for associated tuition, fees and books. Students should contact their high school counselor to determine if they are eligible for this program and to find out complete program details.
Special Admission
Students under the age of 15 can take up to two COCC classes per term after approval of special admission. For more information, visit the Special Admission for Students Under the Age of 15 form (pdf).
Adult High School Diploma
This program is for those who have not graduated from high school and need only a few credits to earn their diploma. Click to learn more about the Adult High School Diploma program.
GED Preparation
COCC offers courses to help students prepare for the GED certification. This certificate indicates you have abilities and competencies similar to high school graduates and is accepted by colleges, training schools and most employers. Click for more information about GED Preparation.
