Application Timeline
Be sure to leave ample time to develop your proposal and to get the appropriate approvals. Typically, it takes at least a month to prepare a private foundation grant proposal. Federal grants can often take three or more months to develop a competitive proposal. Contact the Grants Office for grant opportunities with an eminent deadline to discuss options. Below is an example of an ideal timeline:
AT LEAST TWO MONTHS PRIOR TO DEADLINE: Contact the COCC Grants Office to initiate the grant process

Work with the COCC Grants Office to get Consent to Proceed
