Non-Traditional credit

COCC will evaluate credits for Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB), College Level Entrance Examination Program (CLEP), and US Military Service Credit.   The COCC Catalog has more information regarding how credits are evaluated.

Advanced Placement

Students who have completed college work in high school under the Advanced Placement (AP) program are eligible to receive college credit based on the exam score

You may request official AP transcripts by following the instructions on the College Board Web Site.

College Level Exam Program

The College Level Exam Program (CLEP) includes nationally normed examinations. CLEP offers subject matter examinations. COCC accepts CLEP scores for some, but not all, subject areas. Score cutoffs vary from subject to subject.

International Baccalaureate Program

Students who complete International Baccalaureate (IB) Exams are eligible to receive college credit based on the exam score

Military

VA regulations require that we evaluate all previous military training transcripts. You must submit your official military transcripts by the end of your first term receiving benefits.
