Steps to Getting Started at COCC

Check Mark1. Apply to COCC

All NEW students (those who have NEVER taken credit classes at COCC) must submit a $25 non-refundable application fee at the time of application. Applications will not be processed without the fee. The application fee can be paid online at the end of the online application, by phone at 541-383-7229, in person at Enrollment Services at any COCC campus, or via your Bobcat Web Account.

The application DEADLINE is 5pm, the Wednesday prior to the beginning of the term.

Application forms can be submitted online:

  • Application -  Online Application Form
  •  If paper application is needed, please call Enrollment Services at 541-383-7500.

Transfer Students: Please see detailed transfer information.

Check Mark2. Placement Information

Check Mark3. Advising

After students are admitted and have provided placement information, advising is the next step.

Fall term: Advising is required for all new certificate/degree-seeking students; non certificate/degree-seeking students are not required to attend an advising session but are welcome to do so. See COCC's Advising website for helpful hints to get you started.

Transfer Students/Students Returning from an Absence:

Transfer students or students returning from an absence who have 20 or more college credits (from COCC or from another college), should contact the CAP Center (541.383.7200) for an advising appointment.  Please note: official transcript(s) must be received to schedule an advising appointment.
