1. Describe the stages of the mentoring relationship;
   
   
2. Identify leadership styles and develop leadership skills;
   
   
3. Describe and demonstrate effective communication techniques;
   
   
4. Demonstrate adventure based learning activities;
   
   
5. Demonstrate facilitation skills and lead learning activities in the mentor class, OLI sessions, and/or in community groups;
   
   
6. Write weekly journals and quarterly reflections;
   
   
7. Identify how individual behavior is influenced by one's cultural context;
   
   
8. Articulate how their own background shapes their actions towards others.
