COCC Honor Scholarship
COCC Honor Scholarships are based on high academic performance and awarded annually to graduating seniors from in-district high schools. Funding is provided by COCC with a generous contribution from the COCC Foundation. There are 30 scholarships reserved for first year college students and 20 reserved for second year students. For the 2013-2014 academic year, the awards are $3,000.

Each year, COCC requests information from in-district accredited high schools to identify graduating seniors who have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or better or are in the top 10% of their graduating class. Those students are invited to apply for the scholarships which are prorated based on the total number of graduates in each high school. Each eligible school is awarded a minimum of one scholarship regardless of class size. First year recipients who meet the academic requirements for renewal will be awarded the Honors Scholarship for a second year of study. The criteria are:
- Full time enrollment (12+ credits) each term (fall, winter, spring).
- Maintain a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 or better.
- Complete a minimum of 36 credits in the academic year.
Honor Scholarships are nontransferable and completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is encouraged but not required. Additional information is available from high school counselors or the COCC Student Financial Aid Office.
