Welcome to the Curriculum Committees website; the committees goal is to make this a collegial and positive experience for our colleagues and add value to the student experience.  The committee reviews all credit program additions or changes along with general academic program review.  The committee ensures curriculum decisions are in line with the mission of the college.

If your interested in creating a new course, revising a course, creating a new program or certificate your first step is to contact the Curriculum Coordinator John Armour at x3772.  Meeting with the Curriculum Coordinator early will save you time and limit the number of edits the committee may ask for.  All approved submissions will become active Fall of 2014.

Curriculum submission deadlines for the 2013-14 academic year follow; in order to publish the following years catalog (2014-15) on time and accurately these are hard dates required by the committee.  Below is the 2013-2014 curriculum timeline:

The deadline for submission of curriculum changes (individual courses) to be included in the 2014-2015 Catalog is Thursday, January 23, 2014.  Note:  The deadline for changes requiring a new AAS, degree option or certificate is Dec 18th 2013 (you should plan on 18 months from the start of development of a new degree to final state approval).

Curriculum approval shall be in accordance with The Community College Handbook of the Oregon Department of Education (ODE).
