Curriculum Committee

Broken TopDECEMBER 18TH, 2014 is the submission deadline for all new degrees, options or certificates.  All new degrees/certificates must be scheduled to be reviewed and approved by Academic Affairs. 

JANUARY 23, 2015 is the submission deadline for all other course changes.

Welcome to the Curriculum Committees website; the committees goal is to make this a collegial and positive experience for our colleagues and to add value to the student experience.  The committee reviews credit program additions or changes along with general academic program review.  The committee ensures curriculum decisions are in line with the mission and core themes of the college.

If your interested in creating a new course, revising a course, creating a new program or certificate your first step is to contact the Curriculum Coordinator John Armour at x3772.  Meeting with the Curriculum Coordinator early will save you time and limit the number of edits the committee may ask for.  All approved submissions will become active Fall of 2015.

Curriculum submission deadlines for the 2014-15 academic year follow; in order to publish the following years catalog (2015-16) on time and accurately these are hard dates required by the committee.  Below is the 2014-2015 Curriculum Calender 2014-15 timeline:

The deadline for submission of curriculum changes (individual courses) to be included in the 2015-2016 Catalog is Friday, January 23, 2015.  Note:  The deadline for changes requiring a new AAS, degree option or certificate is Dec 18th 2014 (you should plan on 18 months from the start of development of a new degree to final state approval).  Also new program should be approved by Academic Affairs during fall term.
