MTA Windows Server Administration Fundamentals 

This hands-on class will provide you with an understanding of how servers work, when you need a server, how to set one up and how to secure it.  By the end of the class, you will be prepared to pass the Microsoft Technology Associate Windows Server examination.  This class is designed for the beginner who has an interest in computer technology. Fee includes testing cost and textbook.

MTA Windows Operating System Fundamentals  

This multi-week class covers Understanding Operating System Configurations, Installing and Upgrading Client Systems, Managing Applications, Managing Files and Folders, Managing Devices, and Understanding Operating System Maintenance. The purpose of this class is to educate you on Windows OS and prepare you to pass the certification exam. Fee includes testing cost and textbook.

Security+ Certification Prep 

This class prepares students to pass the Comptia Security+ Exam. It is part of the series of classes designed to give students the skills they need to find work in IT. By the end of this 8 week class students will prove competence in security technologies, protocols, physical security, as well as how to protect against viruses and other attacks.  Fee includes testing cost and textbook.

Mac App Development Series

 This series of three-courses will teach students how to make apps for the Mac hardware including the iPhone and iPad. The first course will start with the foundation skills necessary to developing simple apps; subsequent courses will develop skills to create more complex apps using Xcode and Objective-C.  Instructor:  Annette Witzel

MTA Database Administration Fundamentals 

This course covers introductory knowledge and skills including: relational databases; core database concepts; relational database concepts; security requirements for databases and the data stored in them; database objects - such as tables and views; graphical tools and T-SQL scripts; database queries; and stored procedures. This class will also prepare the students to pass the MTA 98-364 certification exam.  Fee includes testing cost and textbook.

Linux Essentials

Linux is a UNIX-based, open source operating system. This beginner’s class takes a learn-by-doing approach to understanding the essentials of Linux. Each class begins by clearly identifying what one will learn, followed by a straightforward discussion of concepts that leads right into hands-on tutorials.  Textbook included.
