Placement Test Results
How are placement test results used?
Placement Test scores are used to place you into COCC math and writing courses that are appropriate to your skill level. They are also used to determine if you are allowed to register for classes that have course prerequisites. A prerequisite is a course that must be successfully completed before you are allowed to take another course.

I took the test prior to 2012, which test guideline do I use?
COCC has used different tests over the years. To verify which test you took, check your Bobcat Web Account, Transcript and Placement Test screen. Your math and writing test type could be different, so be sure to write down which test you took for writing and which test you took for math.
