Regional Information Center
What will I find here?
- Find local Labor Market Information contacts and demographic information. (Overview tab)
- Find regional economic data and trends. (Economy tab)
- Locate local area job openings and occupational information. (Jobs and Careers tab)
Steps to get there:
- Select a region from the map in the right hand corner.
- Select the appropriate tab at the top of the regions page.
Wage and Salary Conversion Calculator
- Convert wage amounts to different pay periods
Steps to get there:
- Click on "wages & income" in the Main Menu.
- Scroll down and select the calculator.
Occupational Information Center
- Find information on hundreds of occupations.
Steps to get there:
- Click on "occupations" then "occupational information center" under Data Tools.
- Enter a keyword/occupational title and click "search"
- Select the occupational title you are desire.
- Select a region if desired.
- Select a report format and click on "continue."
Occupational Explorer
- Find occupations matching your criteria for wages, educations, and growth.
Steps to get there:
- Click on "occupations" then "occupation explorer" under Data Tools.
- Select an occupational group and/or region if desired.
- Select education, wages, and growth rate, as needed.
- Select a sort method and click on "find occupations."
Employer Database
- Use this to find employers in an industry and contact information.
Steps to get there:
- Click on "business & employers" then "employer database" under Data Tools.
- Select state and region, and search method.
- Enter keyword of industry and click "continue."
- Click on employer name to see contact and other information.
Skill Explorer
- Construct a personal skill set and match skills to occupations
Steps to get there:
- Click on "occupations" then "skill explorer" under Data Tools.
- Select a skill set from the menu or search by keyword.
- Check appropriate skills from the skill list.
- Click on "select skills."
- Repeat steps 2-4 to build an accurate profile of your skills.
- Click on "match" when skill section is complete.
Around the State Search
- Find employers who might be hiring
Steps to get there:
- Click on "business & employers" then "ATS search" under Data Tools.
- Select search criteria as desired (Ex. keyword=hire) and click "search."
JobNET
Steps to get there:
- Click on "job openings & info" under Main Menu.
- Select a job title and region, if desired.
- Sort by relevance and date if desired.
