A Native American Spring Festival is slated for 12 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 17, in the Mazama Gym at COCC. The event is free, and the public is welcome.
The event combines the celebration of the renewal of life with the tradition of the pow-wow. In addition to the free lunch, traditional singing and dancing and flute music will be performed, and authentic locally made Native American arts and crafts will be for sale.
The activities are sponsored by the college’s Native American program. For information, call 318-3782 or visit the COCC Native American Program web site.
