1. Describe the stages of a mentoring relationship.
   
   
2. Demonstrate skills and strategies of effective mentoring.

4. Model the vision, goals, and behaviors that inspire OLI participants to succeed in their academic, career, and personal goals.
   
   
5. Identify different styles and qualities of leadership and explore their personal leadership qualities.
   
   
6. Learn and practice oral communication skills as well as strategies to diffuse conflict.
   
   
7. Identify issues and initiatives affecting their community and explore strategies for addressing those issues.
   
   
8. Identify the benefits of post-secondary education and an understanding of how to transition to higher education.
