COCC Community Learning photography classes teach you the basics, enhance your understanding of what your camera can do and challenge the avid photographer to new levels. 

Basic Photography with DSLR Cameras
Take your camera off "auto" and start using advanced controls for better pictures.

Basic Photography with Point-and-Shoot Cameras
For the absolute beginner, learn how to work the settings of your point-and-shoot to get the best picture.

Expressing Yourself with Your Camera
This class will cover the parts and the purpose of the camera. Each camera has a unique way of adapting these elements to each model of camera. The goal will be to become familiar with your camera and to apply those unique parts to each photo situation.

Get the Most Out of Your DSLR Camera
Go beyond the basics of photography with digital single lens reflex (DSLR) cameras. Do more with your camera and existing equipment. Topics include camera features and controls, lighting and exposure, composition, and creative field techniques. You must have a DSLR. The workshop does not cover post-processing with Photoshop or other computer programs.

Lightroom 4 Fundamentals
Discover the essential tool for photography enthusiasts, serious amateurs and professionals alike, Adobe Lightroom 4, during this intensive hands-on learning experience with lots of personal attention from two instructors! 

Lightroom 4, Beyond the Fundamentals
This class will focus exclusively on Lightroom’s Develop Module and will demonstrate how to create a master image. We will dive deeper into advanced retouching techniques, such as eye enhancements and skin softening, local sharpening and white balance adjustments, and much more.

Photoshop, Beginning 
Transform ordinary photographs into extraordinary pictures with Photoshop CS5.5, the industry standard for manipulating digital photographs for web production and for print. Hands-on exercises will give you a solid understanding of the basic tools and concepts such as layer manipulation and effects.
